The Retro-Gaming Events forum is for DBB and its users to share and promote their Retro-Gaming Events with the community. "Tournament Results" and "Media" created during the event such as match videos should be their own thread apart from the announcement. When a Tournament Organizer makes an announcement thread about their event, questions and discussion regarding it should be posted within the announcement thread.
For example, User 1 posts a thread about an upcoming Street Fighter tournament they are hosting, and User 2 wants to know if the TO will be providing GamePads. User 2 should post their question as a reply in User 1's tournament announcement thread.
I. POST INFORMATION: Users creating threads for their events should attempt to adequately explain each aspect of the event. Location, time, prizes, fees, the games involved and other integral details should all be laid out simply for readers to understand. Pictures, videos and any other forms of supporting material is highly encouraged, but not required. Event threads that are deemed too vague or possibly fake will be deleted.
II. NO SPAM/HAVE SOME PRIDE IN YOUR WORK: Again, no fake events, and keep in mind the idea is to inform others of your events. If there is a considerable amount of spelling or grammatical errors that impede upon the viewers' ability to understand your post then it will need to be edited for clarity or deleted.
III. BE APPROPRIATE: No content that discriminates against race, sex, religion etc. Users are expected to exercise proper online etiquette. This goes for replies to these stories as well!
IV. REVISING YOUR EVENT: If you add more to your event or update it in a significant manner (spelling and other fixes of the nature count if the changes are plentiful) then edit the initial post with your changes, and post a reply to the thread to notify the readers that changes have been made. It's suggested to add info that users ask about for during the threads lifetime.
V. HAVE FUN: We are esctatic to have those here that are interested in sharing their events for retro gaming! Running excellent tournaments and events of this nature is a dedicated task and a labor of love. Thank you for sharing with us!
